OZ Lifting’s DynoHoist is a dynamometer-equipped lever hoist or come-along from 0.75 tons to 3 tons capacity.

Available in 0.75, 1.5, and 3 tons capacities Dyno-Hoist gives users a real-time reading of the load (in kilograms or pounds) they are applying to the hoist, whether it be a lifting or pulling application.

An overload alert is triggered at 126%. It has a twin pawl brake assembly.

Other features include all-steel construction; steel handle with rubber grip; zinc-plated load chain; forged alloy steel hooks; and fully-enclosed gearing.

DynoHoist meets or exceeds CE, ASME B30.21, and AS 1418.2 standards. Standard AA batteries offer a run time of 150 hours, but the product can be plugged into a 115/1/60 outlet. Each hoist is load tested and arrives with a test certificate and a free set of latches.

Can be rigged with our range of chain slings.

Downloads FAQs

1. What is Dyno-Hoist? It is a dynamometer-equipped lever hoist that gives users a real-time reading of the load (in kilograms or pounds) they are applying to the hoist.

2. Why is it called Dyno-Hoist? Dyno-Hoist was actually named by Richard Miller, sales manager at OZ Lifting. He combined the words ‘dynamometer’ and ‘hoist’.

3. Is it battery powered? Yes: standard AA batteries offer a run time of 150 hours, but the product can be plugged into a 115/1/60 outlet.

4. Can it be used for lifting and pulling? Yes.

5. In what capacities is the product available? It is available in 0.75, 1.5, and 3 tons capacity.

6. Does the product feature an overload warning? Yes: an overload alert is triggered at 126%; the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) requires that when a hoist is repaired or recertified, it gets tested at 125% of the rated capacity.

7. Do you stock other similar products? There is nothing out there in the marketplace like this hoist.

8. Is the hoist designed for a specific application? No: it will be useful in any application where you need to know the weight of the load being applied to the hoist. But we have received inquiries from the aviation industry, as they must tension parts for testing and need to know the exact weight.

9. Why would I use this product versus a more traditional solution? Where you would have previously needed to use a shackle, dynamometer, and hoist, with Dyno-Hoist, you gain a significant amount of headroom because the load cell is an integral part of the unit.

10. How much does the hoist weigh? The net weight of the units (head only), is 16.5, 27.94, and 45.1 lbs. in order of capacity.

11. How much strength does it take to operate? The effort to lift the safe working load (SWL) in each instance is 31.4, 49.5, and 72 lbs.

12. How many falls of chain does the hoist have? These models have one fall of chain.

13. What is the handle made from? Steel handle with rubber grip.

14. What is the load chain made from? Zinc-plated load chain.

15. Does the product meet relevant standards? Dyno-Hoist meets or exceeds CE, ASME B30.21, and AS 1418.2 standards.

16. Is each unit load tested? Yes: each hoist is load tested and arrives with a test certificate, one-year warranty, and a free set of latches.

17. What type of brake assembly does it have? It has a twin pawl brake assembly.
