2. What would I use the barrier grab for? It has a compact and rugged design. It is perfect for handling concrete barriers from 6 in. to 12 in. nominal width at the top of the barrier.
3. How do I use the barrier grab? We often remind people of the three-point operating concept:
- Place tong on barrier, lower crane completely to disengage the auto-latch.
- Lift and position barrier in desired location.
- Lower crane; line must go slack to engage auto-latch, lift tong off barrier—and repeat.
4. How do I attach it to my fork truck or lifting technology? The lifting eye allows for easy hook attachment, self-centers rigging, and will accommodate a fork. Locating assembly orientates tong on barrier without operator intervention.
5. How does the product enhance safety? The handles are extended on each side to keep the operator away from the load and can be adjusted as needed.
6. What is the auto-latch made from? Stainless steel.
7. How is the barrier protected from the product / handling operation? Replaceable polyurethane pads protect the barrier.
8. What if my barrier is painted? Alloy steel dog-point pads bite into painted barrier surfaces
